Acting CG urges staff members to embrace integrity Category: News

On 22 April 2021, ZIMRA Acting Commissioner General Mr. Rameck Masaire visited Marondera, Rusape, Mutare, and Forbes Border Post, urging staff to embrace integrity and ethical conduct. The tour, supported by ZIMRA’s Loss Control Division, emphasized the importance of professional behavior and accountability.
“We need to identify Loss Control with the positive elements and sanity it brings to the entire organisation... The Division was setup primarily to minimise loss of ZIMRA property and that includes the human resources,”
said Mr. Masaire.
He encouraged officers to align with ZIMRA’s core values and do the right thing even in difficult circumstances—reinforcing the organization’s drive toward a clean, efficient, and trusted public institution.
Loss Control Director Mr. Tapiwa Manyika expressed concern over the number of officers dismissed for integrity violations, noting the serious cost of losing well-trained personnel to corruption:
“The continued dismissal of officers due to corruption is an indication that there is a loophole in the system... I urge you to be your brother’s keeper and remind colleagues to desist from falling into the corruption temptation.”
The executive team used the visits to reaffirm the Four Ps Strategy—a framework built on People, Processes, Partnerships, and Performance—while reconnecting with teams in the Eastern Region.
