First Lady hails ZIMRA's Tax Education efforts
By Zimra News Desk

Zimbabwe's First Lady, Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa, has applauded the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) for its impactful tax education campaign, which she described as a vital tool for national development. Her remarks came during a visit to the ZIMRA stand at the inaugural Farm to Market Art Festival held in Harare.
The festival — Dr. Mnangagwa’s own initiative — successfully celebrated Zimbabwe’s agricultural bounty, traditional foods, and rich cultural heritage.
"You must continue teaching our people on tax matters so that they comply and contribute to the development of our country," said the First Lady, as she toured the ZIMRA exhibit.
ZIMRA has become a familiar presence at major exhibitions across the country, educating the public on tax obligations and promoting compliance. At the festival, a team of ZIMRA officers focused on topics such as exporting farm produce and farmer taxation. They also introduced attendees to TaRMS, the digital platform used for taxpayer registration and management.
"As young farmers, we want to contribute immensely to the government's Vision 2030 by paying our taxes,” said Grace Moyondizvo, a young farmer from Marondera.Several guests suggested that more roadshows should be conducted to reach entrepreneurs who lack awareness of their tax duties.
