Streamlining Trade in Zimbabwe: Introducing the Zimbabwe Electronic Single Window System

The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) has implemented the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) programme, in line with global standards and Section 216B of the Customs and Excise Act [Chapter 23:02]. The initiative enhances security, transparency, and efficiency across the international trade supply chain.

An AEO is any approved entity—such as an importer, exporter, clearing agent, transporter, or warehouse operator—that meets high compliance and security standards, aligned with the World Customs Organization (WCO) framework.
