ZIMRA Engages Bulawayo Editors to Strengthen Media Relations and Public Awareness

In a strategic move to strengthen collaboration with the media, the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA), in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), hosted a Tax Editors Breakfast Meeting on 28 May 2024 in Bulawayo. The event aimed to empower senior journalists and editors with deeper knowledge of taxation, customs processes, and the role of technology in public revenue mobilisation.

Delivering remarks on behalf of ZIMRA’s Domestic Taxes Commissioner, Mr. Lisani Dube, the Bulawayo Regional Manager, stressed the vital role of the media in promoting tax compliance.

“Tax and customs issues are not only policy matters; they are national interests that deserve strategic visibility. Through your influence, you can encourage greater compliance and civic responsibility,” said Mr. Dube.
