ZIMRA Launches E-Taxes Platform to Ease Online Filing

In a move to reduce compliance costs and address technical challenges with the E-Services platform, the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) has introduced E-Taxes—a new, user-friendly online filing system. Similar to E-Services, E-Taxes offers a streamlined registration and submission process for taxpayers.

With platforms like OyOsCloud already helping businesses stay tax-compliant through monthly fiscalization services for just $20, the addition of E-Taxes further supports businesses striving for efficiency in their tax obligations.

 What Can You Do on E-Taxes?

  • Submit Returns

  • View Submitted Returns

  • Check Compliance Status

 How to Register on E-Taxes

  1. Visit https://etaxes.zimra.co.zw

  2. Click Sign Up (bottom-right corner).

  3. Choose “I have a BP number”, then enter your BP number (start with zero) and the registered ZIMRA email.

  4. Complete your profile: first name, surname, phone number, and password.

  5. Activate your account via the email sent to you (link expires quickly—act fast).

  6. Click “Go to Login Page” after activation, then log in using your BP number and email.

Note: This is a once-off registration. Use your ZWL BP for setup, and you’ll be able to file for both ZWL and FOREX BPs by selecting the appropriate currency during submission.

 How to Submit Returns

  1. Click Submit Tax Returns.

  2. Select the relevant tax head.

  3. Pick the correct currency based on your BP type.

  4. Fill in the form and click Submit.

  5. A confirmation message will appear—no need to resubmit once successful.

 How to View Submitted Returns

  1. Go to Tax Submission History.

  2. Select the return you want to view.

  3. Click View to see the full submission.

 How to Check Compliance Status

  1. Click Tax Clearance Certificate.

  2. Click on the Tax Clearance icon to view your compliance status.

Note: You cannot apply for a Tax Clearance via E-Taxes.
